Driving in reverse gear

We can, some have, except an idiot driving in opposite direction, but we are perplexed with the reverse driving in Indian politics.  BJP, the party is always at best to drive in reverse direction, better known as retrogressive force, now have a competition with RJD and JD(U).   SJP is waiting to jump into the fray soon when UP assembly elections are due.  Yes, for next three years we are going to witness the fight between Kamandal and Mandal.

If this is called ‘development’ spearheaded by BJP, then we need to produce millions of brooms to clean the country for next fifteen years.  It is all started with drifting of Modi from ‘development agenda’.  I have one or more reasons to wonder whether Modi has really drifted away or we misread the word ‘development’.  Today, the meaning of development, at least, to me seems ‘development of divisive politics to consolidate Hindu votes’.  Will Modi or Amit will take a pain to address the right meaning of development in coming days to dispel the doubts among million of ordinary Indians like me.  I doubt.  Since RSS protect these two top guns from criticism, I need to stick to my understanding of development within the realm of RSS definition only.

Yesterday, our Finance Minister blamed the errant ministers, MPs, party leaders for issuing irresponsible statement and speeches that derailed Modi government from ‘development’ track.   It shows that there is no single boss in BJP.   Parliament affairs minister warned opposition parties that Bihar victory does mean license to disturb parliament.  So, the government is expecting tsunami in next parliament session.  Scores of articles being written by political observers and eminent personalities advising and reminding Modi government about possible negative scenarios.  Only we ordinary people read those articles and not BJP top brass.  So, I am pushed think about negative consequences only.

The new challenge is caste Vs. religion.  The gene is out from both groups.  Both of them believe that growth means their own version of political administration.  BJP is allowing RSS to polarize Hindus through interpreting Vedic religion that is best suitable to demonize ‘other community’ as the enemy and raking issues like Cow, reservation, Aganda Bharath, etc.,  Latest is the violence in Tippu celebration in Karnataka.  Now Lalu will take up the issue like backward vs. forward and trying to consolidate caste equations.  Both of their objective is simple that is to ‘be in power’ forever.  If cow and caste can be sold in the name development to fool the intellectuals and restless youths, they wouldn’t mind.  Sane intellectual voices are chased out as intolerant intellectuals and branded them as supporters of erstwhile ruling parties.

The victim is India, the ordinary people like me.  We are all dreaming to make India the better place in world.  We don’t wear the mask of any political identities.  Our concern is that India is not a begging bowl, rather a stupendous resources of human and natural resources.  We don’t need our PM to go country after country to dine with CEOs to beg their money for investment; instead he has to remove the obstacles that are not allowing our economy to grow the way we Indians want.  Investment will knock our doors once the obstacles are removed.

The much awaited tax reform is not at all taking place and got struck with GST issues of centre and state wrangles and bargains.  The government is not innovative enough in finding solution to black money.   They should be encouraged to turn the black to white within a period of three years to change the economic growth speed.  It is possible if government is willing.

Agriculture is at its worst phase of growth, due to erratic irrigation system.  Private sector is expecting tough years in 2016.  Subsidies are being misused.  Our relationship with neighbours are not stable, instead of setting examples to them we are allowing us to be exploited by them.   There is a great disparity in HR management.  The output of graduates is mismatching with employment index and growth.

We are certainly marching backward and now with Kamanda Vs. Mandal is not a good sign of future.  Only Modi can change this eventuality by focusing on real development works.  His real work as PM starts now, if he is truthful to nation.
