One of the benefits from current Covid19 tsunami is that it forces every business mind to revisiting the fundamentals, alter the course of trajectory, analyse the grey sequences, evaluate the organisational age, explore the opportunities and induct new thoughts and bloods in businesses. Are they not too many? But certainly valuables to contemplate. Let us contemplate. Firstly, the revisiting the fundamentals. A CEO of an FMCG conglomerate spent a day with his retail salesman at least once in a quarter and visited every retail shop, like an intern, to learn the retailer relationship, sales volume, product display on shelves, competitors’ presence, pricing and sales trend. He spent a day with customer service department, especially at front desk to listen the kind of complaints they are receiving.
